Since the day of foundation we have gathered a vast data base which consists of more than 52000 seafarers, who have large working experience, excellent knowledge of English and all the documents necessary in compliance with STCW 95 requirements.

Marine Job Services is fully equipped with all necessary documents: National License for Recruitment Services, Certificate of Quality Management System Conformity in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, MLC certificate in compliance with the requirements of Regulation 1.4, Standard A 1.4 of the Maritime Labour Convention,2006 , which are required by Ship Owners all over the world.

MJS is fully responsible for each seafarer recruited by our company and always meets the requirements of the ship owner.

According to Ship owner’s request we provide such services as follows:

  • providing complete and partial crews
  • keeping records of the date base
  • Flag State certification and endorsements processing for crew
  • booking flights
  • visa arrangements
  • arranging crew changes, communication with agents
  • arranging of the flag state documents
  • verification of the authenticity of the documents
  • supply of the working clothes
  • arranging of Medical Examination Test, European Medical Examination Tests

FLEET MANAGEMENT

MJS manages a range of vessels including bulk carriers, container vessels, general cargo carriers, oil tankers, gas carriers, and chemical tankers, ranging from 20,000 to 319,000 DWT - with many being young and energy-efficient with an age profile below the industry average.

At MJS we do not believe in making short-term profit on expenses, that would have long-term consequences for the vessels. For cost effective management, MJS reviews the major expense head and then works towards making them rentable. Lube Oils is one such major expense head, where MJS in partnership with leading lube oil suppliers provides competitive cost with top line products to vessels under management. Similarly for spares and other services, MJS Management leverages its volume to negotiate good terms with manufacturers and is able to supply original spares at very competitive costs.

Furthermore, approximately 30 % of the total cost is spent in connecting spares and services to the vessel MJS has global agreements with premium logistic companies worldwide. This allows us efficiently consolidate the supplies in warehouses, negotiate competitive transportation costs globally.

Ship management is a fundamental business, where continuous monitoring is key to cost efficiency and reliability. Monitoring gives signals and our proprietary software solutions drive the company's monitoring capability. Our experience helps us to anticipate problems - if you see it before it happens, it won't happen.

Technical Superintendents are each allocated a group of three to five vessels and are responsible for monitoring the vessels' condition and all aspects of their performance and operation, including:

  • Safe and efficient cargo handling and conditioning
  • Planned and project maintenance
  • Regular condition assessment
  • Dry dock planning and supervision
  • Budget control
  • Certification and vetting

Established relationships with first-class suppliers, service providers, shipyards and workshops ensures, that our customers consistently receive reliable and high-quality, rentable services cost.

Our highly qualified and capable Marine Commercial Operations teams closely monitor the commercial performance of supervised vessels and manage the commercial risks faced by our customers in the course of employment of their vessels.
